I once came acrossed a starfishshaped thermometer for the bath tub but now can't find it at any stores. Anyone seen one or have any advice on a website I can find one on?

ebay has them really cheap. we have a rubber duckie that she loves to play with. it changes color if the water gets too hot. thermometer is probably the more accurate way. Also, in the meantime, use your elbow to test the water rather than your hands. it is more sensitive to temp. ped recommended this and we do it every time.

Any mass retail store should have baby bath thermometers. There's the rubber ducky ones that I think every home in America has and there are strips that you can get too, kind of like the ones you see on the side of a heated fish tank that go on the inside of your tub and tell you the temp. You could also look in the pool/hot tub section of a hardware-type store and see what you can find.

Why would you need a thermometer for the babies bath? Do you not have enough common sense to test the water yourself before giving your child a bath? Lower your arm in to the tub, if it feels room temp, then it's O.K. Come on now people, lets use the brains that the Lord gave us. Stop buying useless gadgets just because they are there!

At Walmart, Target, KMart, etc. there are rubber ducks that go in the bathtub that have the thermometer on the bottom of them. It doesnt tell you what the temperature is but it tells you if the water is too hot for your child.

The inside of your elbow. If the water feels hot to the touch - add some cold.

I picked one up that looks like a rubber ducky at Target this weekend. they're well disguised... you could pass right by them and never know it.
