Think of the trends. There are patterns that are flukes and patterns that have solid substance behind them. We know that energy is going to change and going to get more expensive, so what parts of that scene interests you? We know that food is going to stay important, even more important as weather changes and we overfish the seas and start using more and more of our agricultural production for energy. Some materials are not getting any easier to find, so who has new finds or big reserves of iron, copper, or special steels needed things like chromium and vandium and nickel? The eco-friendly movement is big and getting bigger, so who are the most green companies in various industrial segments? Nano technology is weird, wild, and amazingly wonderful, something to consider as well. Good luck.
