Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I, for example, find the city of Detroit very charming. There is a ton to do there and some really cool places to visit. They did an excellent job of (in the last year or so) hosting not only the All Star game and Super Bowl but the World Series as well. I DO agree about Gary, Indiana, though. Calumet City and Hammond are not far behind. Ugly area on the whole.

Pittsburgh, Pa. It's ugly, dirty, horrible. I didn't have any nightmare experiences there, but it's the ugliest city I have ever seen. Layers of black coal dust on everything, gray buildings, gray skies, industrial city. Ugly Ugly Ugly.

I like ugly cities. The uglier, the better. I want lots of urban decay, abandoned factories and railroads, grey skies, etc, etc, etc.
I hope I never have to go to Orlando again. Too humid, and the cockroaches are as big as hoagies and they FLY! ewwwwwwww.

Gallup, New Mexico
We were stranded there for 3 days when I was a kid. Our car broke down there on a road trip. It's just a hot, dusty hole with lots of Geronimo's descendants running around drunk.

I agree with the Gary, IN...I live about an hour and a half from it. I don't go there unless forced to. Not that I'm scared, but it stinks, and is ghettoville USA.
