Yes, my wife had two affairs, when I discovered the second one, she admitted to the first one. She ask God's forgiveness and then mine.
God's was much quicker, mine has taken about four years, but I am feeling the love she has for me and I for her. Its the trust that has been the hardest thing to rebuild.
My mantra through all of this has been..."Forgiving is not forgetting...It's remembering with your mind at peace!"
I have found peace.

When someone you trust hurts you emotionally it is very difficult to get over, because you trusted them. But as always you need to not look back on the hurtful stuff and focus on what the good stuff was that you both shared. That will help to move and forgive. If this harm you are talking about is physical, you need to remember, no one should ever lay a hand on you. As forgiving with that, it would take a long time and maybe never.

Yes....I think that everyone has had at least ONE incident at one time or another in their lives. I know personally, though, that when I was "hurt" or "harmed", I never did forgive or forget. I guess what I'm saying is, that it depends on the severity of the "harm" whether you forgive them or not.

Yes my boy-friend hurt me in the past. I forgave him after 4 years because I realized I still love him. So now we're loving eachother more than ever. But I still let him know that I will never forget what he did and make sure it won't ever happen again. He treats me with a lot more respect than before. Life is too short to hold the pain. I feel so much better letting him know how I feel. As long as he understands what he did wrong and not do it again, I'm happy with him. I'm also glad I forgave him.

Sin? In Exodus 20:17 God instructions that we could desire to no longer covet our neighbor's slaves, nor the rest that belongs to him. What God did no longer command right this is for all of those servants to settle for their freedom. So particularly situations God has some humorous guidelines, and that they do no longer continually look to coincide immediately with what we deliberate to be the optimum achievable morality. yet as quickly as we return to your question, and do away with all of trimmings, you ask, "What injury does the 'sins' in Christianity reason?" Oh they have large capability to do injury! homicide is enormously undesirable, useful. yet what approximately different sins? Exodus is magnificent for sins. 22:18 Says kill each and every of the witches. Eeek. This commandment could have incredibly led to some hardship if anybody afflicted to examine it. Oh they did? Oh hell. 22:19 is larger. Sexually abuse animals? dying penalty! See, there is solid stuff interior the bible! 22:25 Says do no longer cost activity while lending money. LOL! Who does God think of he's speaking to? 23:thirteen Says do no longer even point out the names of different gods. So comparitive non secular learn look top out. Wow on 2nd theory, this entire sin factor looks somewhat strange to me.

Yes. At 5 years old I asked my dad if he loved me, he put me down and walked away. We never had a good relationship and he treated me badly until his death. Never have or will forgive him.

Yes- my husband purposely looked for and found my sister's porn tape with her boyfriend and watched it. That hurt... but we've got kids and I love him so I just told him how much it hurt and then dropped it... though it'll never quite go away.
