to make your computer to run faster you need to first defrag then run your add-ware spy-ware and your virus programs then delete the temp Internet files also the cookies. then the computer will run faster and keep a least 1 gig of free space to make your computer running good

Zipping the picture will make the picture file smaller and free up a little bit of room, but that's about it. If you want to access the picture again, you will have to unzip it anyway so then you will have the zip file AND the picture taking up space. It probably won't affect your speed unless you are DANGEROUSLY low on hard drive space and it's a HUGE picture file.

not really! If you open often the pics u will need to unzip all the time
If your c: drive is full just put all your data in another partition, You can choose more virtual mem, defrag, grow the dimention of your c: drive, errase the temp folders, clean tthe bad shortcuts, clean the registry, scan your drive with chckdisk, scan your drive for spywares, adwares, virus.
U can also right click in My computer, select properties, advance, performance properties, then select best performance...

Ok this is really a yes no answer.
Zipping files and saving space on a hard drive does allow it to perform faster.
The rest of the computer however only benefits marginally from this improvement.
So yes, but not really.
