I have never heard of Essure. I had my tubal done 3 years ago. I had to wait the six weeks to let my body heal from delivery. I would rather have had it done while I was still at the hospital. It was a fairly quick outpatient procedure. They put me under general anesthetic. I was asleep. The day after the procedure I was groggy and sore. I had some bleeding and abdominal discomfort. Within a week I was feeling better and the only thing that was bothering me were my two stitches from where the laproscopic device was put for the Dr. to see what she was doing. I don't regret going through with it and am thankful to not worry about pregnancy anymore. Hope that helps.

I dont know why your doctor told you that anyone ive ever known that got there tubes tied did while they were in the hospital and yes it hurts but if youve had a baby you can handle it. anyways the dr told my mom that when she wanted her tubs tied and when she went back in to have it done she was already pregnant again so i would get second opinion about it.No ive never heard about any new procedure

my mother had her tubes tied after she had me. Then 4 yrs. later she got pregnant with my brother. She had a c-section and the doc went in to tie them again. I guess they thought they became untied or something. Anyways, her tubes were still tied!

my bf had her tubes tied, they went in through her belly button with a scope and she was awake the whole time. She was a little sore, but Tylenol took care of it. Be careful, I know a woman who got pregnant after a tubal. Have your partner get fixed too.

In my opinion getting your tubes tired is not the will of God. Children are Blessings. There are other ways and methods to prevent pregnancy.
I have also heard of women getting pregnant after the surgery.
