Yes. They are known as speculators . Typically they:

1/ are driven by changes in the market place i.e. the buy-hold-sell decisions are based on changes in the market.

2/ hold assets for a short term. They are not in the game to hold properties and generate rental income.

No, there is not a profile. .... even CSI won't be able to pick them out. A coworker of mine is 78 yrs old, and she flips homes. Another investor I know started when he was 18 yrs old. Some can and some cannot speak English. Some are doctors and some dropped out of 5th grade.

Probably the only common denominator is that they believe in themselves and have acquired the necessary knowledge - and have the courage to put it into practice.
