Here are two links that provide accounts on the effects of the earthquake. It appears that geologically the only thing that resulted from the quake was landslides. Environmentally, people have been displaced, public utilities were not functioning, and property damagse seem to be the most prevalent occurrences.

The effects of the Hawaiian earthquake; is the destruction of homes and the lives of the people, Geologically the Hawaiian islands are large volcano's that stick up out of the ocean all the Hawaiian islands are sitting on a what scientist call a mid oceanic Continental hot spot. the flow of lava can cause roads to be closed forever and it can destroy the sandy Beach's and that will cause problems for the tourist trade.
