Actually what you've written are one in the same. Mocking something or living in denial is basically the same reaction to something you can't or won't wrap your head around. We mock because it is a form of denial that protects us from having to deal, and work out difficult situations or ideas. We know in our hearts that 9/11 was orchestrated by really bad people within our government, but we mock and/or just act stupid because the reality of our own government being involved with killing 1000's of people is just unreal to most people. The best thing is take information slowly and let it seep in...NEVER denying it's existence because you have no proof otherwise either way. Weigh everything over time and your wisdom and efforts towards that wisdom will prevail in an answer that is true to heart. good luck, and may you reap the benefits of paying attention.

If you mock it, you'll call attention to the fact that you don't understand it, and then people could mock YOU. But if you ignore it, you'll waste the opportunity to learn about it so that you won't be in the same situation next time. So you should just quietly watch.

Are you twisting logic to mean mocking shows ignorance? That's just a trick to protect the guilty from being humiliated.

It depends on what you're referring to. For instance, I don't understand the female mind. I do my best, but there are always parts that don't make any sense to me. I draw what inferences I can and just accept the rest.

I think its probably best to get some fat, three times divorced drug addict to explain things to you over the airwaves.

Thats the path to true understanding (apparently).

What about just trying to appreciate what you don't understand

I have no idea what you are talking about. I guess I could take a stab at it anyway.

Why is it that just because someone disagrees with your opinion, they must either be mockingbirds or ostriches?
