I didn't have to have one but I don't believe I was much more then a month along. If you have had a miscarriage though then you need to see a doctor. They will most likely give you an ultrasound. That is how they found out that nature was taking it's course.

I had a complete miscarriage (meaning there is no need for a D&C). After starting to bleed at 7 weeks and visiting the doctor he told me to come back in 3 days for scan etc. Next day I passed my tiny little baby. Doctor did a scan and uterus had 'emptied itself' so no need for D&C.

I didn't need to have one. My body took care of things itself. I was about 5 weeks along, but with little to no development of a baby. I would suggest letting your doctor make that decision though. Good luck and I am very sorry.

I didn't need one. My baby passed on its own. The doctor did an ultrasound to make sure everything was OK.
