All I remember is an elf that made his own powered sled without reindeer and santa had to save him on his sled in the end. I also think there might have been a little boy that didn't believe in Santa Claus. What movie is it?!?!

what you're thinking of is Santa Claus: The Movie, starring John Lithgow, and Dudley Moore. it was released in 1985, and considered a box office flop, only making 23 million dollars in hthe US.
