Some CD's are pre-listed with track information when you buy them and are very straightforward to copy with their listings.

For those that are not listed, you should do the following: Use a music program such as Windows Media Audio (WMA), I-Tunes (you don't have to have an IPod for this), or Musicmatch. There are other similar programs, but they are the ones I know about.

Using one of these programs, you press "CD Lookup" or the equivalent button, depending on the program you use. Enter the title of the album into the search field. It should give you one or more album lists, with detailed track information (artist, title, etc). Select the relevant album title and the track information will copy across to your computer listing, saving you hours of typing in detailed information.

A word of warning though - some albums may not be listed, as this method relies on other people putting the information in beforehand. If you look at all the different places listed above, you should find most of what you need. I can't guarantee this, of course!

I hope this helps, and good look with your search!

the information you are looking for comes from music listins libraries on the internet. You need to be online and use something like windows media 9 or above, pop your disk in and press the get tractings button. i will look at the libraries and populate the tracks for you (providing you have a standard retail cd in the drive). Please note that this will not work for home crafted compilation cds, ONLY retail
