Modern day harvesting is by machine. Some growers, especially wineries, still harvest by hand, A sharp hooked blade is weorn like a ring on ones finger and is used to separate cut the "bunch' FROM THE VINE This method provides for better grape selection.

Depends on the type of grapes. Table grapes are harvested by hand. Wine grapes by a type of tractor. The table grapes harvested by hand is not a job I would want do.

Very Gently!!!!! I think they pick them by hand and then load them on trucks.
