There are some online schools that want you to get your associates but some let you go all the way what would be better.

I'm working on my associates and then my bachelors because I at least want that two-year degree in writing. It really doesn't matter how you do it. It just depends on what you want.

Its really personal preference, some say its better to get an associates because you get a degree and its easier to transfer your GE requirements(although I never had a problem), but it is faster just to go for the bachelors and skip the associates, because you are required to take courses for an associates you wouldn't otherwise take just for a bachelors, for instance a foreign language. I feel unless you are going to use your associates while working on your bachelors its a waste of time.

I'd go straight for the Bachelor's Degree. In today's market, the Associates Degree doesn't give you any more of an advantage than if you just had a high school diploma and a little experience. I went straight to my Bachelor's Degree and it paid off.

In my opinion I think you should get the associates and work yourself up to the bachelors degree. I'm also attending college and I was wondering the same thing, but it's better to have them both it's a great accomplishment to have both under your belt. But it's just my opinion whatever you decide on doing good luck.....

It depends on where. I got an associates, then when I went for my BS I found out that the school I went to for the AS didn't have a recognized accredidation - just some "independant colleges" bull s*. My credits wouldn't transfer. I had to start from the beginning.

I did improve my study habits while there, but overall it wasn't worth the money.

Associates degrees can protect your general education requirements if you transfer to another university. Other than that, unless you have a reason for getting it, I don't see the point. However, it doesn't cost anymore, so why not?

I got an AS long before I was able to finish my BA. I can put both on a resume. :o)

requirements for associate degree do not meet the requirements of bachelors degree. If you go for the associate degree first, you'll still go back to make up for the courses you didn't take because the associate degree didn't require them.If you can afford it,then go for the bachelors degree.

I would definitely go for the bachelor's Degree. If you are even considering it, you should do it. You will be thankful in the long run.
