hello ppl i have just re-booted my computer and everything has worked great but i have no sound, i have not got the driver disc and i cant think of how i can get the sound card to work.On my audio menu it says there is no device found.......any answers will be more than welcome.

check device manager go start> controll panel and find system. open that and click hardware tab, then device manager. look for sound devices. is there a yellow exclamation point next to it? Does it exist in the list at all?
If it has the exclamation point you will have to know the make and model fo your card. go to the website of the manufacturer and download andinstall them. (all drivers are free).
If it is not seen you may have a dead card. Try the hardware detection wizard (under control panel you want to use add remove hardware, follow the wizard)

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your sound card and download and install the driver software for your card. Assuming there's no other problems, the card and speakers should work. Good luck.

If you cant find the driver you just open your cabinet and see which sound card is it and the other way is to us www.driverguide.com where u can get a utility that will automatically detect ur driver and get you to drivers on it own website

turn off your computer
remove the card
restart computer
turn off computer
replace card
turn on computer
that should work
remember remove the power when removing components and make sure you discharge static off your self using a earthed object like a radiator befor touching anything inside the case
