Over the last few years, my in laws have always joked that they would make me cook a christmas dinner and that they would make a curry ( I am of Indian descent you see) This Christmas, my in laws have come up with a challenge. ( Its not a challenge really but will make things more fun ).
I am to cook a full Christmas dinner, trimmings and all for the whole family, on Christmas day. Bearing in mind I have only ever cooked a sunday dinner for two. And on Christmas eve my uncle (-in law) is making a curry.
I think he got the easy option.
Do you think I can do it??
And also this is for all the people out there, to see how people accept each others cultures. Not as hard as some people make it sound. I love being able to share christmas with others and as they are to share occasions and traditions that i grew up with. If only people out there would just take their blinkers off eh?

Yes, I think you can do it, no problem. You've cooked a roast dinner for two, right? All a Christmas dinner is, is a roast dinner with a few extras.
The hardest part is timing everything, so that it is all ready at the same time. Sit down with a piece of paper beforehand, and work out a timetable, listing what time everything has got to be put on.
I find it's easiest to work backwards, i.e. first decide what time you want to serve it.
Good luck

I think you will be able to do it. Being a master at cooking a meal such as a curry isnt something that anyone can do. You take time and love the food you cook.... true?.So a Traditional Christmas dinner should be a doddle. All you have to do is think about timing. Make sure you write down how long each thing takes to cook and go from there. It'll be a breeze! good luck!
