If you're malnourished ofcourse you can't get pregnant because it can be dangerous for you and your baby. Your body will stop the menstral cycle in order to avoid the possibility that you might decide to procreate. That's just one of a few reasons, annorexia, but another common reason could be that you have an iron deficiency, causing anaemia- or a lack of red blood cells. As a woman you probably know that a period is all about blood flow.

Are you really thin? active in sports? Stressed about something?
Teens have erratic periods for alot of reasons, it takes the body a few years to get regular even under the best circumstances.

there are many reasons why women and or young women miss a period ... it can be caused by stress!!! thats the biggest one or you could have a cyst on ovaries etc... I would go see a gyno just to be safe, but if you have a really busy lifestyle and or are stressed that may be the reason for your delayed period. :)

Stress, being overtired and if you are heavily into sports like running or tennis can cause your period to be late. Sometimes when you are a teen your period wont be on a schedule it just happens it gets more regulated the older you get.

a hormon imbalance. the doctor could find out by just taking you blood. stress could also be the problem. and don't take offense, but your weight could be the problem. i have the same problem with missing my period. if you have missed five to six weeks go to the doctor. and depending on your age your body is making changes and just isn't regular yet.

well there are a lot of reason, first if you take a hot bath the day before your period if wont come and the main reason is if you are active in sports in school. or maybe your body is trying to find its way.

stress or eating disorders or if you have just started having periods. if you miss regularly then you need to go to a gynecologist to get checked.
