I think democrats stand more for equality and less for racism, and homophobia!
That being said, I don't see a lot of differences between most democrats and most republicans!
That does not include the Fascist fringe of the Republican party which has been so damaging to Republicans in general!

There are some decent and bad in both party's. I have to agree with George Washington's belief that we should not have party's in politics as it pressures officials to do things that they do not believe to be right. If you look at votes in the house and senate you will see that almost every issue is split on party lines where if the elected government voted what their voters believed it would be split more by demographics and geographic.
