Is that like the absolute worst thing a person can be, even above a murderer, a plotting terrorist, a fanatic religious zealot, one who performs genital mutilation on young girls,
Where is the scale here on ethics?
I can think of about a thousand worse things to be if one is a White Christian besides a racist.
It seems people would rather be called a murderer than a racist, where's everyone's head?

Richard B: the term "white christian" the term that all non-white non-Christians refer to us as!!!
Who catagorizes us? THEY DO!
Would you be as quick to jump on the description if it were coming from a Muslim or a Black person? I doubt it. Because the church of political correctness fails to see their double standards, OH and by the way, who catagorizes them as "black" or "Muslim" -THEY DO!

Richard B: also I was wondering if you will be attacking the "scourge" of fanatical extremists which cause death, destruction and misery to every government infected with it and tyranny for the people oppressed by it.

Christine T: This is exactly right, however, like my last sentence would state, it would be ironic that those who spew "racist!" as a knee jerk reaction to a differing opinion seem to stick up more for murderers than racists.

Peter F: LOL. OK. I'm a racist. Now what? Is it against the law? Will you put me in jail? Does that make me "bad", I thought liberals have moral relativity.
If I said "I'm white and I'm proud" you would call me a racist.
If one was black--again, a catagory which each group gives to THEMSELVES....
If I were black and I stated:"I'm black and I'm proud", what would be your response? I doubt racist, right?
That is because again, the church of political correctness does not see double standards and their own major flaws in thinking.
(my BLACK, yes black friends think PC people are a joke by the way.)

Anyone who departs from racial orthodoxy will at some point have to contend with the charge of "racism." "That’s a racist statement," your opponent will say, in a tone that suggests he has just dropped a nuclear bomb, and for timid people—about 95 percent of whites—that ends the argument. The "racist" apologizes, back-peddles, and shrivels into silence.
If someone calls you a "racist," he has completely shifted his ground and isn’t dealing with facts or logic anymore. He is saying "You’re bad!", which is pure emotion.

I completely agree with you, I'm a racist, so what, what are you going to do about it, the label of racist is far too liberally applied by the lefties who take umbrige at anyone daring to slag off the muslims, say anything negative about non indigenous people, oh and thats it you are a racist and you should have old nick with his toasting fork up your ar$e, really bad person! BOLLOX! It's all of this fear of being called a racist, fear of upsetting the immigrants, PC rubbish that is driving the UK into the sea, I'll say this though, another Labour government gets in at the next election, and we may as well call in the dogs, this country is finished, any decent person should save what they can and get out if Labour get back in!
P.S Please accept my sincerest apologies about the smoking muslim thing, I didn't realise you were being sarcastic!

I think Peter F just proved t_o_n_i Montana right. Wow.
The government has implemented social training on its public to make racism, especially racism by whites, unacceptable.
No one really cares when minorities are racist, because they pose no threat. The reason governments find it dangerous when whites become excessively racist is because of history.
We all saw what Nazi Germany was able to do in the name of white supremacy. If whites really all got together and became racists, they would literally have the capabilities to annihilate every other race. That is why it is dangerous to let whites become racists, because basically they have too much power.

Not everyone is afraid of being called a racist. However, that does not mean people like being called a racist.
My advice to is; If somebody does call you a racist, simply say you don't me. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. Unless you are a racist in which case say you are a racist have done with it. dont hide the fact your an idiot. let everyone know so that they can hate you as much as you hate purple people or whoever it is that you hate.
I don't know anyone who would rather be called a muderer than a racist. ok lets put this into perspective, hating people for no reason is unkind, killing people is evil.

I totally agree.
And why are "white" people accused of being racists over the simplest things? Like, if there was a "white" person and a "black" person waiting to be picked for a team, and a "white" person chose the other "white" person, it'd be racism. Whereas, if a "black" person chose the "black" person, it'd be perfectly acceptable.
I use the words 'white' and 'black' loosely as I believe that everyone is the same colour as we all come from the same world.

It's called PC or political correctness, and white people are the masters of portraying to be PC.
I did a small study once for my sociology class, and I wrote a note that was slightly racist in its context and I posted it on craigslist, once pretending to be a minority, and once pretending to be white.
No one had a problem with the racial undertones when they thought a minority wrote it.
But people attacked the note when they thought it was a white person that wrote it.
And the most amazing part of all was that the people doing the attacking were mostly whites. In other words, whites are quicker to call other whites "racist" than even minorities are. Whites were quick to attack the white author of the message, but did not complain when they thought it was a minority author.

Everyone is afraid of being called a racist partly because so many people are and they don;t like the 'label' being attached to it - and also because everyone is afraid of the very concept of Race. Why is it necessarily offensive to refer to someone as 'black' - whilst this may be rather a generalised term, it is not a derogatory one (no more than the term 'white') and is merely descriptive - yet many people are afraid to use it. This is in my opinion just as serious a problem as racism itself. If we are not prepared to talk about the problems and people's issues then we will never tackle the scourge of racism. And i am fascinated by your use of the term 'white christian'... what exactly does this mean... are you referring to your race or to the fact that you group yourself only with other white people, exclusively.
Additional answer... response to questioner:
I was not trying to get at you about 'white christian' i just thought i was an unusual term i see what you mean now and i sincerely apologise for the confusion.
I will happily condemn the scourge of radicals and extremists in any culture, country or soceity who kill people or spread hatred through terrorism - terrorism of words or Violence. But i find it interesting that you raise the issue of Extermists in a discussion about Race - what is the link? extremists exist in every culture, race and ideology - form Marxism to Capitalism to Christianity to Islam to the LGBT community and everything in-between. Religion (or race) is not the cerntal factor here - the central factor is that of hatred - of any other group or sector. The hatred which is spread by 'fanatics' in the muslim world, yes. But the hatred which is also spread by 'fanatics' in the Wester world - especially groups like the BNP and some sectors of the Far-Right christian ideologies. 'Up The BNP...???' - please take a lesson from history.

I think its just because racism goes against all that "love thy neighbor" hoopla. But everyone - yes EVERYONE- is racist to some extent. As my sociology prof suggests, we are cognitive lazy so we classify and prefer certain groups over others. The truely immoral part comes when we let our preferences overcome us and we do things (like commit murder) based upon ones classification. "Racism," in this sense defined as hatred, leads to other, worse offenses.
Update: Not really. If racism is an avenue to worse roads, then wouldnt you hate it more. Im not saying that every murder is a consequence of racism. It leads to violence, which is never good. Its kind of a "gateway drug." A source to alot of bad things. Thats why its hated above the other things it may help to cause. With out the -isms (racism, sexism, ageism), there would be alot less crime and inequality

It is not racism, but a sense of nationalism and national identity, that is being eroded every time we question why are we losing this identity, if this is racism then I am a racist. This is being concerned for our country and its values, not the hating of peoples of other faiths or ethnicity.
