Other than being in world wars and living with rations, I cannot think of the disadvantages. We were less threatened by other world powers, were living in basic peace, had lower crime rates, had neighbors who cared, and we were adjusting to TV, a relatively new form of entertainment in 1950.

well if you are that old have your life's gone but if you are talking about why was it bad to live back then
well the great depression for one who likes to be poor ever watch cindrella man the movie well you should
people did not know about absobestis
world war 1 and 2
we did not kow about fcc's
no t.v just raido
no microwave
less health care little or no retirement

well theres more but it left my head sorry
