The Worlds Richest man is atop a $52 Billion fortune, will death be an interruption of the grand and full life that all of this wealth generates and permits ? yet the man who is poor, struggles all his life to make ends meet, still meets with death, so is it really the same experience for rich and for poor ?

Death is the same for all people. It is the end of life as we knew it.

Therefore, the simple answer is yes.

We don't know. Paraphrasing Bill Shakes a spear, Death is the undiscovered country from which no man returns. Doesn't the bible say it is easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven? If New testament stuff is right, then, not, death is not equal for the rich and poor man, since one may go to heaven and the other to heck. What if buddhists and/or hindus are right? Maybe the poor guy attains enlightment and escapes the wheel of samsara whilst the rich guy has to come back for another spin of the wheel. Maybe it would be the other way around. I don't believe that rich are excluded from heaven until we figure out how to pass camels through needles. And I don't think rich folk are necessarily so tied to the material world that they can't attain enlightment. I don't think poverty is automatically enobling, either. As for death, if it is an end to us, then, yes, it is an equalizer; however, if there is any sort of life after death, all bets are off.

Death is the ultimate equalizer.

But there are other equalizers that economic circumstance cannot preclude: human needs and feelings such as: love, hate, hunger, the feeling of happiness, probability of a genetic illness, the feel of a stinging slap to the face and a host of other things.

In fact, events that befall the rich also befall the poor, the difference may be in degree only.

A stock market crash is an equalizer when it adds to the community of the needy.

Still in all, I would rather be rich with terminal cancer, than poor with the same disease.

Death is only there because of life, death and life have nothing to do with the scio-economic status of a person. Anyway wealth equals mental lacking and poverty equals physically lacking. I would rather be poor than rich any day. Everything is about balance.

there are other things of course, like, sorrow, everybody has to go through that at some time, irrespective of how much money they have. happiness because people can be happy even if they are poor. there must be some more things...but over and above all, yes, you're right..death is a great equalizer.

Scientifically speaking once you are dead it doesnt matter how much money you have. when you die your dead and your going to stay that way no matter how much money or wealth or fame you may have. Then you start to think where you go after you die. and this brings up the question nations have risen and fallen to answer. Which god, if any is up there looking over us and judging whether we go to heaven or hell? But I'll leave that to be answered however you want.
