My computer won't let me defrag or cleanup disk. Also when I go to install and uninstall programs, none of my programs show up. My Norton Virus won't scan, it says can not connect to the internet, which I can get on line? Do I have a virus or is there something totally wrong with my computer?

My computer is 7 years old and is office XP. My husband says it is my Sims 2 and the expansion packs that is doing this to my computer. What do yiu recommend I do?

Well I think your husband is wrong because I have the sims 2 and most but not all expansion packs and my computer is almost as old as yours and it is fine. If you downloaded something that could cause it to screw up.....but do what they did run it in safe mode!
