There is a paper doll book that is set in 'Little House in the Big Woods'. It comes with Pa, Ma, Mary, Laura, and Carrie. Maybe if you live close to one of the sites that commerates Laura's life there,(Mansfield, Missourl, De Smet, South Dakota and Walnut Grove, Minnesota) you could take her for a visit. Or maybe one of the listed places has a website that sells dolls or something.
I found a web site with links to one of the Historic Societies!!! They have other books, dolls, magnets, and mugs. Here it is - www.webpages.marshall.edu/~irby1/laura/frames.html
BTW, I named my daughter Laura Anne after Laura Ingalls Wilder and Anne of Green Gables.

The Little House on the Prairie series of books or the story of Laura Ingalls Wilder's life. I believe it was written by her daughter, Rose Wilder. You can also do a Yahoo! search for Laura Ingalls Wilder for more information.

Take her on a trip to one of those western towns. I went to one in CA for a school field trip and I really liked it. I guess I was about 10 at the time. I don't know where you live, but you can check in your area. They are really neat places, they have everything from that time period. And the people that work there actually live there too, and act as though they are living in the old west. They have all sorts of activities for kids like panning for gold, ride in a horse and buggy and things like that. Here is a link to the one I went to as a child. http://www.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=552 If she enjoys this time period she will love this park!! (Or one like it) There is lots of stuff for grown ups too!

The television show and all the related movies are on DVD... and they are quite reasonably priced I think.

Or, less high tech and television centric, look into dollmaking and have a project where the two of you make some dolls like kids on the Prairie used to. Here are some books and kits and stuff, materials would be a whole nother story.
