IMMIGRANTS, NOT BRITS MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on the 7th of the 7th we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits. However, the disgust about the attacks had
barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain, Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants.
(The Danes, Romans etc.) However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to
our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of the Brits being a
multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britain's we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Indian, Urdu, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language
Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!
"Land of Hope & Glory" is our motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If the 'Union Jack' flag offends you, or you don't like our QUEEN, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our Laws give every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so!
But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our lifestyle our government, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great BRITISH freedom,
THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.
It is Time for Gt.Britain to Speak up
If you agree -- pass this along;
if you don't agree -- delete it!

Well said on behalf of Andy D - I dont get why he has been banned and reported to police for expressing his opinions !!! This just shows how bad this country has got - call the police because you've been mugged and we're lucky if they arrive. Dare to voice an opinion and they're round in minutes - disgusting !!!!!!

I live in the United States and agree whole hearted with you. If someone is of another nationality and wants to live in another country and reap the benefits they should at least learn the language and commit to the country that they are moving into. It drives me crazy that I can't find the English version of directions or contents on something I am thinking of purchasing. I have lived in areas that were predominantly another nationality a few years back near an army base and the people there were Americans and proud of this. Many of the immigrants now do not feel this way . I am still attempting to understand why or how someone who can not speak our language can get federal assistance. And on the one note no one wants to hear our forefathers based our entire Constitution on the Bible they believed in God he is included in the Pledge of Allegiance also on our currency, while we are forced to remove the 10 commandments from our courtrooms and we can not pray in our schools. It is being considered to remove In God we trust and one nation under God from the pledge. All I can say is May God help our souls.

Interesting. I wrote a very similar view in a blog. Only that was more about illegal immigration in the US.

More and more countries are adopting this attitude towards immigrants. That is, you are welcome to come here, but you must adapt to our culture, not the other way around.

Australia has come out and made those sorts of statements
The Netherlands now has a video and test people must take if they want immigrate to the Netherlands. And they're about as liberal and multicultural as they come.

I agree- even in the US, we have a culture that has developed over a few hundred years (a blink of any eye as history goes). But even we should clearly state, that all cultures are welcome, all people are welcome. But, we have a common culture share by all those people of many backgrounds, faiths, races, ethnicity. That common way of doing things is what binds us a nation. You don't like, don't come or don't stay.

None of that certainly condones racism, hate crimes or other generally recognized "bad treatment" of people. The thing we all have to consider is that we don't degenerate, "our culture" into hate crimes against people of different backgrounds when they may be just like the rest of us-- trying to make a way thru life.

Well said!

I feel very strongly about all the mad pc rubish going on in Britain. I happen to live in the Middle East and while I am here I have to abide by the rules of this country. I am not allowed to drive a car (It'd be stupid to want to as the standard of driving leaves a lot to be desired!), I have to cover up with an abaya when I go out, no big deal, I do it out of respect for the citizens of this country. I enjoy my lifestyle here, if I didn't I would leave.

I feel that 'guests' in Britain must abide by British rule and if it is not to their satisfaction, then feel free to leave and close the door behind you!

Very well said.....

I do not believe this is a racist statement...mearly one that is heart felt by thousands more British people.

There are a lot of immigrants who come to this country for a better, peaceful way of life...and to those...I hope they find it.

But in every religion, race or ethnic group there are those who are out to cause trouble....I just hope our politicians and law inforcers do not become blind to these groups when they play the race card as a "get out of jail free" card....

This has nothing to do with racism.....there are some people who are never happy no matter what you may do for them or how much you give them...and complaining or fighting is just a way of life to them.

it seems as if the minority are leading the majority. it is time to speak up. it seems that these folks are often offended, for no reason other than they don't like it. in the USA a woman wanted her drivers license picture taken, with her veil on. how asinine can people be. assimilation to society is not mandatory for anyone but please do not complain that 5 times a day prayers bells do not ring out on national t.v. i really think the kind of extremism they(muslims on the right, not all) think we are creating the are creating in the Christan right. i just wonder if this is a long-thought out plan. one has to wonder. why all of a sudden in the past 15-20 years are we (non-muslims) in need of conversion.SPEAK OUT LOUD MY FRIEND. FAN THE FLAMES OF COMMON SENSE.

I think you are very much right we face the same issue here in the Unitied States. We have one councilman in one city wanting to make English the official language and fine owners and landlords for hiring and renting to illegals.

Now the LULAC wants to get involved and say he is discriminating but my question is how can we discriminate if your breaking the law? The word illegal means your not legal so your breaking the law. But we should bend over and kiss our you know what's and give you whatever you want.

Good luck.

Well, I'm from America and that is how I feel about the people who immigrate here so I don't think you are wrong in any way to feel the way you do. It totally annoys how people have come here and are trying to take God out of everything and I hate that they won't learn the language. You and I might be from different parts of the world but we think alike and that's refreshing. Keep standing up for what you believe in. It's the only way to go. Take care and God Bless.

Well said - you could have taken the words right out of my mouth. By all means allow people from other countries to come here but they live 'our' way - WE should not have to adapt to suit them. I am in no ways racist and deplore the 'hate regime' that some people have. I have actually rented out a house to a guy from China recently, luckily, while he finds some of our ways strange to him, he accepts them and modifies HIS behaviour - thats the sort of immigrants we want.
