no it should not mess up your period. Your period should come on time no matter what or how much you have sex. sometimes periods can be a day late or two from stress, but anymore than 3 or 4 days and honey.. it's time to take a pregnancy test. (they sell them at dollar stores so don't pay a lot)
good luck either way. always practice SAFE sex and use condoms.

in most cases, regular sex-regulates your period. here is the fact. during intercourse, the female is releasing a hormone too. not just the male. this hormone is called estrogen. do some research on estrogen i could go on for days about this. i have heard that from woman the first time you have sex, your period automatically happens, i can't say for sure, i've never been with a virgin. hopefully you are not pregnant. give it a week or two before you take a test.

What type of birth control did you use, if any? If condoms, then no hormone should have been released, thus no worry. Plus you protected yourself from STD's. If BC pill, then poss. that is causing a problem because there are hormones in them, and they will regulate out in time. If no birth control, then you'd better do a preg test. That would definately cause you to be late.
Remember - safe sex is extremely important. You sleep with whomever the other person has ever slept in the past, too, when you don't use a condom. Be careful, but enjoy life, too.

I find that interesting, as just last month I was watching a special on tv about people and animals, and the basic conclusion to the subject was that the more time a female spends around a male the more regular her period will be.

When you have sex, you don't get any male hormones. It shouldn't affect your period unless you are pregnant. You could be late because you are stressed out about missing your period or you could be pregnant. You can get pregnant the first time. ALWAYS use protection. You really should educate yourself about sex and how to prevent pregnancy BEFORE you become sexually active.

Getting pregnant will alter your period, so yes, a sexual experience can affect your period.
Taking a male hormone (usually testosterone) will also reduce or stop your period. Depending on dosage. Female to Male transexuals cease to have periods after a couple of months on testosterone.

If by male hormone you mean he came in you, then yeah it is going to mess up your period. You won't have one for about 9 months and you are gonna crap out a kid. Get a pregnancy test dummy! And next time use a condom.

Late periods after sexual intercourse are the hallmark of conception. However, if you have a history of late periods this does not hold true.
If this absence of menses continues a gravindex (pregnancy test) is indicated. See your physician. If you are not inclined to visit a doctor buy one of the OTC (over the counter) tests from a pharmacy.

Male hormone? Do you mean sperm? Are you saying that you had sex for the first time and he came (ejaculated) in you? You might be pregnant and you may have contracted HIV/AIDS or an STD!
Talk with your Mommy about this.

Having sex for the first time doesn't mess up your regular period unless of course you are pregnant.
