The easiest way to link across workbooks is to open both workbooks and switch to the source workbook (click window, and workbook name) then copy the cell location(s) into memory. Then switch to the target workbook click into the target cell, right click the mouse, select paste special, and click the paste link button. The value in the link will automatically update everytime you open the target worksheet.
