It depends on what you still need to graduate, and if you want to take on an additional work-load. You will probably have an accompanying seminar class w/ student teaching:
My (unsolicited) advice (from experience) do not take any other classes--student teaching is VERY DEMANDING!
Good luck and welcome to the profession!

My university allows you to take one class in addition to student teaching. This is really in place for people who needed one more class for graduation, but didn't want to add an entire semester for that one class. For example, in my case during my last semester I will have 18 hours. 15 are teacher certification and three is the class I need to take as a capstone class for graduation from my major. Rather than make me take another semester, they allow me to take that one class during my student teaching. Luckily, its a class that only meets once a week and it meets on Friday nights, two hours after the school I plan to teach at lets out.
Good Luck!

It depends on the university that you attend and how they structure their Education Program. You will have a lot to do during your final student teaching, so most likely your only other class will be an accompaniment to the internship/student teaching to benefit you.
During my final student teaching, we had a class called Senior Seminar-probably has other names-where we met once a week to discuss issues in our student teaching classrooms, reviewed our Professor Observations, worked on our final teaching unit, and practiced interviewing. It was a great class for me and always looked forward to it because of how helpful it was.

I took a seminar on campus every Thursday afternoon during student teaching...now they do a week after student teaching on the university campus in order to complete documentation for graduation and certification and finding a job and a day or two during student teaching sometimes.

Our school did not recommend taking any classes during student teaching. That way you could spend all your time and energy with the student teaching.

My school had us take an art class during out practicum, that way we had a way to debrief with out classmates. During out Student teaching there were no classes, though we were offered the opportunity to participate in some lectures.

Your long practicum will be very busy. You will not have time to take other classes. It is a full-time job in and of itself. In fact, a friend of mine is doing that practicum right now, and she is up until the wee hours preparing for the next day. I certainly was.

No, you won't. You will most like NOT be allowed to. You will be busy enough, I guarentee you. Don't even think about it. You will see.
But you might be required to take one course AFTER your student teaching. That is how it worked for me.
