i have a bunch of anime DVDs i wanna get on my computer to make AMVs with but i don't know how to save it let alone save it as an AVI file so i can use it on Windows Movie Maker.

to sum it up i need to know how to save a DVD to my computer as an AVI file

I DO NOT WANT TO BURN IT LATER i am tired of asking one thing and getting an answer for another on other questions please answer what i want not something else

Pop the DVD into your comp....look at the file extensions for the video files....i forget what some of them are. then google "[extension] to .avi converter"
for example, if the extension is .abc then you'd googe ".abc to .avi converter"
You'll find ones you might have to pay for, but there are free converters. I guess you want avi so you can edit them or cut scenes out and make something out of the eps?
If your going to just view them, no real need to bust your balls(or boobs) to convert...

What you're looking for is a DVD to AVI ripper. There are a number of products on the market, and I don't know which to recommend. However, if you do a search for "DVD to AVI ripper" then you should get plenty of hits.

(trial-upto 5 min vid convert)
find its cracks in yahoo search easily! there u go
