I'm 34 weeks pregnant and for the past week or so I've been getting really sharp pains in my vagina. Sometimes it's just when I'm sitting, and other times it's when I get up from sitting, rolling over in bed, or even walking! Also, I've had really lose bowel movements for the past two weeks, and I'm pretty sure the baby has already dropped. I've been having a lot of pressure (sometimes it feels like he is just going to fall out!) and my belly looks/feels lower.

Is it normal to have these symptoms at 34 weeks?

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and I intend to ask her the same thing, but I was just curious if anyone else has had these things happen. Thank! :)

This is my first pregnancy.

Also, I've been having braxton hicks, but not in regular intervals...just randomly throughout the day.

Its early for that sort of thing. Unless maybe this is not your first child...

Generally you get the runs before labor, but its more directly related to active labor than prelabor. The sharp pains in your vagaina are normal for your pregnancy, veracose viens/pressure/extrablood all cause pains in that region.

However, a dropped baby and pressure that makes you feel as though the baby is 'falling out' can be an alarming note this early. Generally this happens a week or two before birth, leaving your baby a little short of the 36 week full term mark.

You may require rest and medication to prevent labor from starting.

I would call the doctor NOW. What if you are in labor and dont know it? I have known some women who barely had any labor at all.
