Hi i would like to know what degree and stuff you must have to obtain a visa to teach english in Japan?

It doesn't matter. A university degree in any field is ok. Having a degree is the important thing. Schools won't care about your major.

If you are Australian, British, or Canadian you can teach on a Working Holiday permit without a degree for about a year. Also if you have 3 years of teaching experience you do not need a degree. The degree requirement is mainly for visa purposes.

All of the above advice is true. Might I add you better be under 35 with a degree. Older folks have a much harder time getting work.

A basic Uni degree will do.

I don't necessarily agree that older folks have it so much harder. Some consider it an advantage.
