Any PCI device can slot into any PCI slot, but will only work if the drivers are installed.

well we would need to know what type of motherboard u have, u could open the case and lock for a small black socket, a lot smaller than the pci socket. its about a 1/4 of the size of a pci socket.

a pci express socket is longer than the standard pci socket and also its slightly thiner
a pci express x1 is the smaller socket
standard pci's are usualy white and at the bottom
