lemonade
popsicles made with natural lemon juice
mint tea
gingerbread/gingersnaps/gingerale
saltine crackers
protein shakes or breakfast shakes
cereal bars

Keep something on your tummy at all times.

Keep a snack on your nightstand when you go to sleep at night...crackers or something. If you get up to pee, eat a cracker or two.

Eat small, frequent snacks all day long instead of 3 big meals. Protein helps. Try a spoonfull of peanut butter or PB & crackers.

Carry snacks with you in your purse when you go out.

Get some peppermint essential oil (health food store or Bath & Body Works) and put a little on a wash cloth and put that in a ziplock baggie in your purse. If you feel queasy, take it out and smell it. You can also carry peppermints.

Take your prenatal vitamins at night instead of in the morning if they seem to bother you. You can also try taking 2 children's chewables instead of the PNV's....that helped me.

Saltine crackers are the best. Keep them by your bed and eat a few before you even get up in the morning. You might also try dry toast. I don't know about self medicine, but I have had lots of friends take phenegren(sp?) when pregnant but you have to have a prescription for that.
I've never heard of an OB/Gyn that wouldn't let you take Tylenol, but medicines like Tylenol can sometimes upset your stomach.

I am 16 weeks and still have some morning sickness, though not as bad as before. I started feeling sick at around 7 weeks lost 9 lbs by my 12th week because of all the throwing up. I found that the only things that would stay down was dry cereal like cheerios or kix and I drank some milkshakes when I was SOOO hungry i couldn't take it anymore. They did fill me up and the coldness of them seemed to soothe my stomach.

Your doctor can prescribe the medication for nausea, and eating crakers can help soothe the discomfort of it, eat saltines. I only had morning sickness for about 3 weeks when I was already 19 weeks pregnant and I used to drink the protein shakes and they helped a lot, at least I knew I was getting the necessary vitamins and protein I needed when I couldn't eat anything!

Ginger Tea is supposed to help the nauceous feeling. Some say to eat crackers first thing you wake up in the morning. That didn't work for me. I had to drink hot chocolate. But try a few things to help. If it doesn't consult your doctor on what meds to take.

Your dr can prescribe meds but if you don't want meds keep saltine crackers beside your bed and eat a couple about 30 minutes before you get out of bed that helped me a lot with my pregnancy, sprite or gingerale helps a lot too.

A tums is fine, My doc said no more that 6 a day, and try not to take it within an hour of your prenatle vitamin, dunno why. Crackers, juice warm mild broth, and hard boiled eggs were things that treated me okay and helped to keep up my streignth. also try and take your vitamin at night before bed, sometimes it can cause nasea, so you'll be alseep if it does.
