Pros:
Animals are healthy as a Vet takes care of them regularly
They live a longer life than in wild
When they procreat, the babies live longer than in wild.
They educate children and adults about amimals.
We are protecting the species from total extinction

Cons:
Animals are not allowed their natural wild life and habitat
They are not as happy being caged up
Very expensive to maintain a zoo, massive amounts of food,
medicine, vet bills, trainers, caretakers etc.
Not enough quality of interaction with other animals. Lions stay
with lions, monkeys with monkeys etc.
Zoos can be dirty and unsanitary if not kept up (smaller zoos)
Many look at training and caging an animal inhumane.

Hope this helps. Good Luck
