sit her down & tell her in the kindest way you know how, getting your point across, but keeping her dignity intact. the point is to tell her to her face, don't email or text her, don't start misbehaving so she'll dump you, just be honest and in the long run she can at least walk away knowing you were honest with her - at least you're taking the right first step by asking how to do it - also if you were being dumped how would you like to be told?

There's no right manner to end things. Because "The End".
I'll ask her how she feels about the relationship (after 8 years, did she talk about marriage, children,...?) How long have you been feeling the way you do know, did she noticed it?
And than you explain how you feel and that you see how things work out... But if you feel strong about the relationship ending, don't be to gentle, make it quick, like a band aid you have to tear off. Don't rub the break-up in with kindness because it will make it harder to her to let you go. I hope I'm not misunderstood here!

You know what ? Thats to long!! if you been with her that long and never ask to married you get out of that relationship rushhhhh!!
Just say the truth, that's the right thing to do.

You need to be honest with her. express to her how you have been feeling, and that you do not want to waste any more of her time. Tell her that you wish her well, and a good life! Say, this has nothing to do with you, it is me!
