Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry, candied yams and more covered in gravy? It's insane! I think it's got to take the cake over the religious holidays in December. They're fun, but the stress of that season makes it not worth it. Thanksgiving is just gluttonous fun for the whole family!

I think you make a good point about Thanksgiving, especially Canadian Thanksgiving which is in October so it's really no pressure, but....
I like Easter the best. Maybe because I am the mom and have to do all the cooking and organizing and buying and decorating and blah blah blah.
Easter is the best from the mom standpoint, because I find it a no pressure holiday. There is still LOTS of food, but I don't have to bother with all that Christmas crap. Throw a few chocolate bunnies and easter eggs around, get that ham in the oven, make some potato salad, and a few other special desserts, and it's a done deal. No presents, not a lot of fuss.... a bit of church and we're done.

My family must be missing out. We don´t have candied yams on Thanksgiving, probably because nobody knows how to make them. I like Christmas better but Thanksgiving is a close second.

Have you ever noticed that you never get laid on thanksgiving?
I think its because all the coats are on the bed.
Therefore... false... thanksgiving is for douche bags... Gimme presents Christmas has the same meal, and presents. Except I always end up getting socks or some bullshit sweater that I will NEVER wear. so deck the halls!

I love Thanksgiving but 4th of July is my favorite. The people stay outside and the house stays clean!

Personally, if I'm going to be drowsy from anything it going to be from a bit too much to drink on New Year's Eve and not from turkey triptophan or a sugar crash from too much pie!

(But I do LOOOOVE those yams!)
