The fact that if I didn't get up I would lose my job and not have any money. Were it not for that niggling little detail, I wouldn't have got up in the morning but would have waited until a more civilised time of day like lunchtime.
On a more gooey pseudo-philosophical note, what motivates me to keep living and getting on with life is the fact that there are beautiful experiences out there still, even among all the day-to-day crud. No religion for me.

in line with probability you have only gotten your self right into a recurring and there is time for a transformation. Why no longer take some day off paintings to bypass on holiday, or bypass to kinfolk? there's a distinctive quantity of issues you're able to do, you basically would desire to realize that existence does not would desire to be uninteresting and bleak. once you come residing house at evening attempt doing something distinctive than only sitting down and staring at television. in line with probability you are able to bypass out and luxuriate interior the exterior. yet another element which would be fairly stable for you is to get a puppy. they're somewhat stable business enterprise and it supplies a reason arise and make a transformation. it is the biggest observe right here. substitute. it is super or small, yet issues would desire to be finished otherwise issues will shop on being pointless whilst somewhat that may no longer the case.

I quite dislike the use of religion to explain/justify the existence of morals and ethics, people having a reason for living, etc. It's saddening, since it implies that there are people who genuinely would have trouble being good or getting up in the morning without their belief that a superior being was admonishing them to do so. Or, to paraphrase/misquote Nietsche, "If there's no God, why be good?"
Personally, I have no problems getting up in the morning. I usually have to pee, and if I don't do it quickly, my toddler will jump in bed with me and bounce up and down on top of my bladder.
Even without said toddler and hydraulic issues, there's joy to be found in the exquisite and the mundane: a good cup of coffee, the birds and squirrels enjoying the food we've left out for them, and a day of work ahead. I wouldn't miss a bit of it, even the parts that make me curse. (Well, maybe I could do without having sewn through my finger ...)

For most people living in a free-market economy, money is the mainstream religion, where Mammon is god. That's what got me up this morning (i.e. to go to work, in order to make money and pay bills).
So, in a way, your teacher was correct. However, she may have been incorrect on which religion wakes people.

Unfortunately having to go to work got me up at 6am (that and the cats were crawling over my head).
I love a lie-in at the weekends but as I get older I find I can't sleep in as long - boo! The thought that I can watch some of my recorded TV programmes from the week while my husband stays in bed gets me from the bed to the sofa!

The man I love and the idea of seeing my friends.
The future, I guess. I mean, you never know what'll happen, right? Today might have been really important to my life. As it was it was an enjoyable funny day, and I'm glad I did get up. Plus, the alternatives (sleep, a sickie) are kind of boring and antisocial.
On a more mundane note, also "OMG AM FILTHY NEED TO HAVE SHOWER."

I guess a sense of purpose. I wake up because I want to do somthing with my life.
There are days I dont feel like I want to get up but the thought of seeing my girlfriend, eating a nice meal, warm shower, or that I have to do somthing gets me up.
Does God wake me up?...hmmm in a way yes but I dont wake up and think "I need to do Gods work!" I'm religious but only human and Im no saint.

A look on the window at the trees, the blue sky and the curiosity/desire to find out more things about a subject that captivates me. I hope to become one day good enough to help others in that field.

If I don't get up then what have I got to show for myself? I've wasted a whole day in bed? I'd rather live life to the full than know that I've spent half my time doing nothing, or wondering about whether to get up.
