You have to push the play / pause button and the main button in the middle of the click wheel (both at the same time) for about 10 seconds

Put hold on and off then press play and pause together until the apple appears on the screen It always works with mine.

You gotta let the battery run right down till it goes off then recharge - it'll come back to life . Its a common problem with the Nano - mine keeps doing it too xx

Yup, gotta reboot it. kimmy_bos is right on the money! Give that a go, if it continues, contact Apple. Your nano has a one-year warranty on it.

the best way to resest is to hold down menu and the select(middle) button together for a few seconds
