I think there are too many shootings in America, period. I think the school shootings are increased because of that. We have such a relaxed view on guns - the laws in place lets anyone have access. The fact that kids bring them to school and commit acts of unjust on innocent victims is enough that we should have stricter laws. You can go into a department store and buy a gun after filling out a piece of paper. All criminals are not insane and can wait for the permit to come through. Our juvenile laws are too permissive as well - a kid can shoot someone and can expect leniency. It's ridiculous! They aren't interested in an education - just how to get back at the rat that pissed them off! They don't know how to problem solve efficiently except as a means to "off" someone.

There are so many school shootings in America because we lack tougher gun laws and effective teaching at home and in the school.
