Register for anything and everything that you need! Even if it is simple things like diapers, baby wipes, and shampoos! Not only does it increase your chances of getting what you really need, but it also makes it easier for the tight budgeted shoppers. Have a good variety of stuff on your registry and even include some more of the pricey items...that way, maybe a few of the shoppers will get together and give you a gift card! A few things that are good to include.. Recieving blankets, clothes in size newborn as well as up to 6-9 months, diapers, wipes, bottles, and even nursing pads if you will be breastfeeding.
Congratulations!

Onesies, receiving blankets, cloth diapers for burp rags, crib sheets, bottles if you're going to use them (though don't stock up on too many of one kind, baby may not like them all), sleepers, baby monitor, baby tub, and if you're lucky enough to have friends and family with money to hand out, then get into the crib/changing table, stroller/carseat, playpen, etc. A lot of people take this into consideration, but register for, and stock up on yourself, multiple sizes of onesies and clothes. That way when baby starts outgrowing the smaller sizes, you'll be in less of a pinch to get to the store for proper sized clothing.

Baby mittens, nail clippers (the saftey baby ones) and a bulb syringe (booger sucker)......those we all small things we kind of spaced and had to run a couple days after we got home. Otherwise....don't go overboard on recieving blankets, all our ended up as rags because the are too thin for blankets for anytime but summer and our daughter HATED being swaddled. Hmm, water proof pads are nice for the changing table and don't forget an extra matress cover for the crib (at least 1 extra) good luck!

each and every mom is distinctive with their likes/dislikes yet for me a bassinet grew to become into pointless yet a %. n play grew to become right into a would desire to-have. i additionally consider not wanting to sign up for garments and diapers (you will get lots in any case) and no bottle warmer, wipe warmer, or diaper pail. i think of it clever to sign up for the better products like the crib and bedding, a rocking chair, automobile seat and stroller, the %. n play, a swing, bouncer, walker, extreme chair, and problems with that form. i left the small stuff like bathing components, blankets, bottles, toddler care kits, and so on. off the registry cuz maximum individuals only %. up a gaggle of odds and ends and throw them mutually and you get lots in any case. except there's a particular kind of something you like, there must be no would desire to sign up for the small, commonplace products.

Register for everything that you might need in the first year. Even if you get a gift that you aren't sure about you can return it. I would make sure to register for the stuff you like so even if someone doesn't buy according to your registry that they will have ideas of what you would like.

#1 Diapers!!! you go through tons and tons of diapers. Lots or Newborn size and a few packs of 1's you'll never know how fast that baby will grow.
#2 Wipes!!! tons of them, a case is good, but always have that on hand.
#3 Diaper rash cream and baby powder. It is always good to have it on hand just in case, if you catch the rash early it will dissapear quickly, causing less pain to you and baby.
#4. LOT OF RECEAVING BLANKETS!!!
This is a big one. babies spit up or burp up more often than i would like, so instead of doing laundry every hour(no time or energy anyways) just have at least 10 receaving blankets on hand, and 3 in your diaper bag at all times.
#5. Formula or other bottling items, you will always need new nipples and lots of dawn dishwashing fluid ot wash with.
#6. pacifires, you may not need them the first day or even the first month, but you will need them, and no matter what you read it will always be a big releafe to have one on hand and not have to run out to the store with a tired screaming baby to get one.
#7. Breast Pads. You will leak, no matter what, i was going through a box enery 3 days. Expensive item, so ask for them, dont buy them if you can help it.
#8 Onsies!!! they are they easiest things to change, and also having some footie jammies are also good.
#9 carseats and strollers.
#10, weather apropriate clothing!!! If it is going to be cold, buy warm soft blakets and heavy fleece jammies, you can put a onsies and socks under the jammie to keep baby nice and warm when going out and about. also I had a thing that fit over the carrier to keep cold air and wind out, great thing, dunno what it is called.
#11. Cloth diapers, they make great burpie clothes, just keep about a dozen on hand. I always kept one in my back poket for anyone on the street that wanted to hold her, then they dont get spurt up on, saves embarassment for mommy.
Things you dont have to buy!!!
When i was shopping the first time a little over a year and a half ago, i was told by all the ads "you have to have this!!!"
BS
1.Dreft is not nessesary, most babies skin is not ensitive enough to be affected by a simple liquid soap like tide, if in doupt an extra rinse cycle will be all you will need. you shouldnt put alot of fabric softener on iether, just one sheet in the dryer at most.
2. You may not need a diaper genee, we had one, and for a week it was fun, but then became a costly hastle... it was a pain to jugle a baby and a diaper, and try and do the lid thingy. easyer to have an open pale trast can, just throw it away every night or so.
3. Shoes. Infants only need one pair of shoes, most babies dont need real shoes untill they are into size 2-4. So dont spend alot on shoes, they wont be wearing them most of the time anyways, also not good for their feet to have them wearing them every day.
4. Sanitizers, You should buy a can of lysol, but never worry about a few germs, after the first month they are all good, and can take a few germs. It is okay to expose them to minor harmless germs.
And finnaly you dont need:::
Woirries!!! you dont need to worry. It is a breeze after the first week. You'll have everything down, and you'll be fine. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure everyone will say all the necessities... but added to that, I highly recommend the BeBe Pod Chair- you can find it at Target or Wal-Mart online... it REALLY was useful... and allowed our son to sit up by himself and play with his toys at 3-4 months of age! He loved it! Also, one more thing... the Leap Start learning activity stand was also great! We took 2 legs off of it for the first few months he was in the Bebe Pod Chair, and put it at an angle right next to him and he just loved playing with it- pushing, turning, pulling all the things on it to play the music. Then, when he was ready to stand, we put all legs on it, and he loved it soooo much-that's the first thing he pulled himself up to a stand on! He's 13 months and still loves playing with it!
So these are two things that really helped with the development of our son, that I suggest putting on your registry. They were great! Goodluck!
