I will be taking pictures of 2 young boys this weekend (approximately 4 & 6). Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I do not have many props so I need something else to do. I would like to do outdoor pictures if weather permits, but I'll probably end up doing them indoors. Any suggestions?

1. sit them on a park bench or curbing, sides facing you, the larger child behind, hugging the younger one and have them turn their faces to the camera. I still have the one of my brother and I when we were 3 & 4 1/2 and it is by far my most cherished photo!

2. Consider changing (if you are using a digital camera this is a snap!) a few of the poses into black and white. It can really dramatically change a photo.

3. Have the older one lie on the grass propping his head in his hands and have the younger one next to him doing the same thing. Take the picture with you doing the same thing facing them. Kind of a down on the ground, head on shot.

4. Watch where the sun and shadows are!!

Have fun!!

just let them run about and play. Take unposed pictures. The natural ones often turn out the best.
