I've noticed that tv announcers don't pronounce their "H's" anymore or words like - Human, Hero, Huge. It gets on my nerves! Does anyone know what's going on?

Because we are getting lazier by the day. Slang has been regionally accepted so often that the dictionaries will list a Slang word as regionally acceptable defination. There is no pride in the English language anymore. Heck the even wanted to teach Ebonics in schools in southeren florida.

Watching BBC? The Cockney accent of London is good about leaving out the "h", as well as turning "th" into "f."

As far as anything else, I have no idea. As far as I know, the H still lives.
