my daughter has to make a model of a victorian music hall for a school project ! i dont know where to start !

Start off with either a shoebox or a bigger box. use google to find what it would look like. some ideas would be the stage (most likely to be at one end), use red material perhaps for the curtains. also, for the audience or one of the acts u could use either lego figures or figures used for cake decoration and use bits of material to dress them up.

A cardboard box could be your stage. Think of any major theatre in London, they're all basically the same Victorian style, lots of gold and dark red curtains. On the front of the curtain there would possibly be a picture of a young queen victoria. They would have had a painted backdrop. You could make people in top hats and ladies in flowery hats. There would have been a man playing the grand piano at the front. Perhaps you could make a tape of some victorian music hall songs (lets' go down the strand, covent garden in the morning, oh the fairies).

There is only one surviving victorian music hall in London called the Players Theatre
