what are your views on pakistan?

so what do you know about pakistan...???

and yah coz im from pakistan... and yah were not poor...

It is a country. I think it used to be together with india.
pakistan is predominately muslim.
pakistan and india have recurring conflicts.
i think there is some kind of disputed mountain region between them. Where really poor people live in the mountains.
but i am not sure. many pakistanis have come to school in the US and that has been my main exposure.

In 99 when Gen.Musharraf seized power, it was considered a failed State for its violations to service external debt. Pakistanis had expected a lot from him. He has disappointed them. Present nuclear problems in Korea, Iran can all be traced back to Pakistan in the area of nuclear proliferation. Zia's regime was terrible for Pakistan. He turned a moderate state to a fundamentalist one much against the wishes of its founding father who wanted Pakistan to be moderate and progressive democracy. Zia is the considered to be the the father of Islamic terrorism which is worst curse on world today. He nursed and cradled terrorism in the Madrases. The funds received from USA and Saudi were used to train terrorists and buy arms to fight the soviets. The consequences are that chickens have comeback home to roost. We have terrorist activities every day in Pakistan. Pakistanis should thank their leader Zia for all these acts. The two ex PMs who are exiled are considered looters of national wealth. They are now vying with each other to come back and start all over again in the name of democracy. Now with the change in regime in USA what awaits Pakistan is to be watched. Devoid of US dollars its economy will again struggle. Only time will tell what Pakistan has gained by fighting so many wars with its neighbor and by resorting to unethical nuclear proliferation.
