The hardest would be a man in his early 30's. He basically has no rights whatsoever. Let's say he's in the sinking Titanic, he'd have to let all the women and children get in the lifeboats first. Then he'd prob have to help the elderly men. He would be expected to stay behind and help out.
Just an opinion =)

It is not always a question of sex but of responsibilities. A man might have to support his family financially but the women would then deal with most of the daily family chores and household responsibilities. However, in to-days relationships children are not normally an issue for many years and thus both have almost equal responsibilities. Then when children do come along the problems of maintaining employment or using child minders becomes an issue for one or both parties.
As to hardest it very much depends on the position in society, lower working class women have it harder than men. Whereas, high class women have it easier.

As a child it's the same to be either gender.
As a teen it's MUCH easier being a male (teen girls can be venomous)
As a grown up I would definitely say being a woman is easier (I'm a woman). I know a lot of women are going to be upset with me for saying this, but it's true. Your whole adult life, first when you're dating guys and then when you marry, a man is paying for everything, he's opening your doors, gives you his jacket when you're BOTH freezing. In my case I get to enjoy the wonders of my children as my poor husband is away from them at work. The poor guy is the one who gets out of bed if there are sounds at night to check for danger. I feel so bad for men (nice ones like the ones I've been blessed to know), because they have to always be strong and have to sacrifice so much. And what do they get in return? Hopefully a woman who loves him beyond measure and is proud of him and who always reminds their children who's providing for everything. A woman who always greets him with a smile and does something everyday to show her appreciation. It's the least we can do for those wonderful men who make our lives so beautiful.

It's harder to be a woman. Women are judged by their looks, their hair color, the size of their breasts or butt. Women get raped, then get blamed for it. Women get paid less for doing the exact same job as a man does. Women are expected to be the caregiver and the glue that holds families together. When women get overwhelmed with stress, they cry, and are called weak.

I think it's harder to be a teen. You are beginning to be held responsible for your actions. You are just learning
who you are, and what you believe. Peer pressure affects your thinking. It's harder to stand up and be yourself, if that self doesn't act like everybody else.

Its harder to be a woman because women seem to have to prove themselves more than men not to mention the pregnancy and pms and mental issues that go along with being a woman
