being able to communicate well with people is one of the most
valuable skills you can posess.
it allows you to communicate, your thoughts but also to intergrate within your environment.

Our relationships at work can be the most important in our lives. We spend more time with our co workers than our families. A good relationship with people makes our jobs easier. It keeps you in the informational loop and offers you contacts.

because most of us spend a lot of time at work! i personally wouldnt want to work with someone that i didnt get along with, besides being friends makes it so much nicer, and then i dont dread going to work, because i can get out and socialise at the same time (i work in a shop)!
