The next Harry Potter movie will lead to a mutual survival, because both Harry and Voldemort are still alive at the end of book six.

Harry lives, Voldemort dies. Other "good guy" characters will die, too, I think.
J. K. Rowling seems to be doing a good job of making this realistic. It's not a comic book story where the good guys win and come off with nothing more than bruises, and the bad guys are wiped out or hauled off to jail. Good guys get killed, bad guys get away with it, innocent people get swept up in the events. That's part of what makes this such a great set of stories.
