How long can an ant live underwater?

40 seconds to one minute. Dont be cruel to animals kids just trust me on this one. I couldnt find a snorkel and mask small enough for my beloved Adam.... sob sob

It's an interesting question. I heard something much longer than one minute, but it was on a pest control commercial so I don't know how much to trust the source. (They said it was more like an hour.)
I don't know if it would depend upon the variety of ant either? Maybe sugar ants can live longer than red ants?
