I would choose the year that Jesus Christ was ending his life on the earth - historians debate the ACTUAL year it was, but about 4 ish or 3ish at the beginning of what is now called CE (common era, which used to be AD, in the year of our Lord in latin).
I would, knowing what I do now, enjoy watching the Man work, play, sleep, cry, do those things that His Father, God, told Him to do. I am female, and would so delight in watching a man getting EVERYTHING right, for once. And I realise that He was the only Man who could do it right. That 'once' is truly 'once'. No on else can get to perfection like Jesus did. Jesus is worth our worship.
Today I am a 100%, fanatical, sold-out follower of Jesus, hoping to win some to this faith, and get others to see the beauty and glorious joy of spirituality in the path of true Christianity.
Well, you asked, didn't you?

Huh.
I suppose I could jump in front of a bullet aimed at JFK.
I could invest in IBM in 1950.
I could watch Picasso paint Guernica.
I could watch the crucifixion of Christ.
I could listen to Socrates lecture.
I could watch Salome dance.
I could drop acid with Timothy Leary.
Lot's of choices, I'd hate to choose the 12th century and be a peasant (and a giant).
I guess, all told, if it was for one year and back again -- I'd choose 1956, the year I was born. I'd invest in some stocks like IBM (like in the movie Blast from the Past) and see all the great sports legends and movie stars of that era.
