When a man gets home from work, eats supper as fast as he can, then rushes off to his computer to play 3 hours of solitaire on the computer, neglecting his wife and children, then spends his days off playing that damn game for 8 or so hours have a problem? I think he does because it is affecting his family that is sick of it, he knows that and does it anyway. What do you think?

oh my god...u just perfectly described my father. Expect with him, it was this airplane online game. yes he has a problem! With my dad, he was lonely. He didnt feel we LOVED him and if we did, we would have stuck with him and invited him to watch tv with us and hang out with him (now we would invite him but he would say he's busy playing...but supposedly we didnt sound sincere...?) He then took up smoking and other things and he and my mom might be getting a divorce, and my 6 yr old brother is growing up with absolutely no manners and the worst temper from imitations and neglect. With ure husband- try to find out what he's AVOIDING- is it you guys? Or is it a personal problem he's trying to hide from? Probe around. He is hiding something and its very deep. It eats away at him and this is his way of escape. Try to find clues from the past. When did his solitaire addictions start- where there a fight that started it? Was there an event? Best of luck, and hopefully this doesnt turn into my family scenario. U can change it now. Just don't ignore it.

Are you positive he is playing solitaire?...are you sure he is not minimizing what he is really doing when you walk in...you know...keeping a game of solitaire minimized to pull it up the minute you walk in ....sounds suspicious to me...I would think something more is going on...but if not...He is really wierd...to waste time being with his family for something so stupid...either way, he's got a problem...sorry...good luck.

Any dad who neglects his children should jump off a bridge. I would tell him to chose the damn computer or his family.

Are you sure he isn't doing a little something besides solitaire????
It sounds fishy to me...does he get mad if you come into the room, or act like he's hiding something?

I would talk to him and if he doesn't think anything is wrong with him spending all his time on the computer, see if he would be willing to go to counseling. And if that don't work pack your bags and take the computer with you.

Time for counseling or a really good computer virus to divert his attention to his family.

It's an addiction, he does not need medication...try to help him see what he's missing! Tell him he needs professional help...I would rather get into an argument than be ignored!
