I ran a full scan and it didn't find it. Should I uninstall, reinstall, and run a full scan? Should I maybe try another AV program? Also, I have firefox but use IE7, don't ask me why, I have no clue.

if it shuts off as a results of the indisputable fact that's geting too warm then that's doing what that's designed to attempt this's a competent project as you do not want damaged aspects ideal answer is take the casing off and vacuum round each and each and every of the vents contained in the pc to eliminate airborne dirt and dust develop this can come to a call the project if not bypass on your manufacturers information superhighway website or the motherboards manufacturers website and receive the present version of the BIOS as that would modify the thermal limits set and prevent the pc from shutting down even as not needed

I can suggest you to attempt system restore to a date prior the detection of virus. I use to carryout system restore when ever a problem arises in my Pc. Just try once. Otherwise you can down load another antivirus program and try. I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...! AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at
